What exactly is association?
The term was forged by John Locke, English philosopher and physician of the 18th century.
"Under certain conditions, a revival / activation of one idea or concept is accompanied by a revival of other ideas correlated with it."
In our case, the main reason for creating such an associative vocabulary / dictionary is the fact that association is one of the basic mechanisms of memory. Therefore, the process of creating such a word bank should help you to ease the process of memorising new expressions and allowing your brain to create a unique pattern of correlated words.
And not just any association, but your own, related to you and your unique personality.
