Members of the metal workers union, NUMSA, in the Eastern Cape are also taking part in the strike for the metal industry. The Nelson Mandela Bay Chamber of Business has also expressed its concern about the impact of the strike on the local economy. The vehicle manufacturers have not reported any impact on production yet.
