National Metal Workers Union, NUMSA is demanding General Motors South Africa and Isuzu provide them with the full details of the agreement that was reached by the two car manufacturing companies before arriving at the decision to dis-invest in South Africa. NUMSA is also looking to seek legal action if the two companies fail to comply with their demands. Almost six hundred workers are set to be retrenched by General Motors. NUMSA national leaders held a meeting in Port Elizabeth to brief their members.
