Pothgul raja maha viharaya (Temple) is situated in Karangoda village Rathnapura district in Sri lanka. It is a cave temple.There are two main caves and two image houses.The history of the temple goes back to the pre-christian era.According to the history,This cave temple was built by king Walagamba.It had been renovated by king keerthi sri rajasinghe in kandyan era. The beautiful calm and historical place to visit.
