You know those moments that feel tiny at the time but end up rerouting your entire year? Yeah. Mine happened on a cold January morning in 2025. Dan R Morris, friend, colleague, and the best marketer I know, sent me a note. “Hey Kae, I think you’d be a great fit for a podcast interview with a guy named Calvin Schwartz.”
I didn’t know Calvin. I didn’t know his show, Conversations with Calvin, We the SpecIEs. I didn’t know he’d interviewed more than 400 innovators worldwide. I just said yes. So, we talked. And between the conversation about books, the Bold Authors Network, and Einstein, I realized something.
Calvin wasn’t just curious. He was electric. He carried stories the way most people carry oxygen. He had lived enough for three lifetimes and somehow made it sound like he’d just been taking notes the whole time.
That conversation ended, and I remember sitting there thinking;
