WATCH: Sen. Risa Hontiveros interjected after Sen. Rodante Marcoleta used the word “satsat” to describe the remarks of Commodore Jay Tarriela, retired Supreme Court senior associate justice Antonio Carpio Antonio Carpio, and maritime law expert Jay Batongbacal on issues concerning the West Philippine Sea.

"Alam ninyo po ba ninyo kung bakit ginamit ko 'yung 'satsat'? Hindi ko lang po alam kung ano ang pagkakaintindi ng ating kasama roon. Pero 'yung 'satsat' po walang implication na masama. Kaya ko po ginamit ang salitang 'satsat' [dahil] kapag sila po ay nagsasalita wala pong batayan," Sen. Marcoleta said.

Hontiveros moved to have Marcoleta’s remark using the word “satsat” stricken from the record. Marcoleta initially objected but later said he was willing to have the word removed and replaced with a more appropriate term.
