 Ronald McKean improvises a postlude second Sunday of lent. The transfiguration. Improvisation begins and is based on Paraletas by, Fray Bartolomé de Olagüe. A very short ABA chord pattern . Following the short piece, Mr. McKean improvises on the chord pattern.
Olagüe’s work can be found on IMSLP . Over 550 additions of Spanish and Portuguese Organ music has been edited by William R Shannon. Many many thanks to his in de fatigable efforts at bringing so much rare Iberian music to the organ world.
This recording was made on the Rosales, Op. 14 in Mission San Jose, Diocesen and shrine, Fremont, California. OK.
