R-Line Chasing: NS 50V Loaded Grain Train – The Chase from Chester to Blythewood, SC

Here on the NS R-Line in the counties of Chester, Fairfield and Richland, we see NS 50V, loaded Monetta bound grain train, caught in a few different locations as they make their way south towards Columbia. Being on Spring Break, I decided to head up to the area to photograph and do a few videos. Later that afternoon, I would end up chasing 50V back home. After hearing dispatch give a TA to someone one for the R-Line, I immediately made my way back towards Chester to get set up. Getting back into Chester, I waited no more than 10 minutes as 50V came rolling south with his solid Dash 9 lashup. From there, I would catch him in Cornwell, Adger, North Simpson and finally Blythewood. Although not the best in locomotive lashups, it was still worth a good chase and definitely gave me some great scenery to work with. As always, enjoy!
