This bird is more popular because of its habit of laying eggs in nests of other birds. Even one may wonder how those small host birds can't distinguish between own eggs & that of cuckoo when size largely differs. But answer is simple. Cuckoo lays eggs according to host bird. I was shocked to note this fact.
Once the eggs are hatched & chicks are out, they dare to push other chicks of host from the nest. Cuckoo chicks grow faster & fledge quickly before the bird get to know the cheating.
