Two of my most favourite birds. Both are blue still have distinct other features like sound & bill.
Malabar whistling thrush has melodious sweet sugar quoted sound like a whistle. Because of which its also fondly called school boy. at the dawn one can listen to its whistle in and around jungle. Going by name, one can easily make out that Malabar whistling thrush is sighted in Western Ghat of India while Blue whistling thrush in north & north east region of India especially Himalayan range & foothills.
