This video explains how my DichroQuilt composite for guitartops evolved from my Chatoyant Carbon Fiber, which, in turn, evolved from my Dune glass to end up being the most visually dynamic composite surface sheet in the world.
Quick (but not simple) synopsis:
One of my architectural glass products - Dune, inspired me to develop molds to make "quilt" figure, which I use to make Chatoyant Carbon Fiber, so I used the same molds to form DichroQuilt, which is layers of films, epoxies and metallic urethanes pressed into multilayer 3D composites that are then surface ground flat to reveal the 3D effect and colorful contour lines - wwaaayy more advanced than a simple "paint job", print, or wrap.
