(Banana Cake with Wheat Flour – 1 Egg)
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas (mashed)
1 egg (room temperature)
1/4 cup sugar (white or brown)
¼ cup oil or melted butter
1 cup whole wheat flour(not full)
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence
2–3 tbsp milk (if batter is thick)
Pinch of salt
for topping:
1 banana
1/4 cup sugar
Chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Method:
In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
Add sugar and egg, whisk well until creamy.
Add oil/butter and vanilla essence, mix well.
Sieve wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture.
Add milk if needed to make a smooth batter.
Fold in nuts or chocolate chips (optional).
Pour batter into a greased cake tin.
Bake at 160C for 25–30minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely, slice, and enjoy!
