CDP: Magikey Primite Cynet, with The Toil of the Normal and Primite Fusion

Welcome back to a CDP I can't wait to share, as I'm finally re-featuring the Magikey archetype on my channel. The Magikey theme utilizes Normal Monsters to access Synchros, Fusions, and Xyz boss monsters, eventually controlling the duel with those bosses based on the Attributes in the GY. For example, their Level 8 Synchro, Magikey Fiend - Transfurlmine, which can destroy an opponent's Summoned monster with the same Attribute as one in your GY. Their in-theme mechanism for accessing the Ritual and Fusion monsters is Magikey Maftea, a Normal Spell that can use a Normal Monster in the deck as material or Tribute, if you control one when using it. However, I've always loved to turn to Advanced Ritual Art and High Ritual Art as well - both give you access either to the Level 4 Magikey Mechmusket - Batobuster or the Level 8 Magikey Mechmorta - Garesglasser.

With such an emphasis on Normal Monsters, it only makes sense to include the ultimate Normal Monster support theme - The Primite! Led by Primite Dragon Ether Beryl and Primite Lordly Lode, this archetype turns the use of a high number of Normal Monsters into an asset. This is especially true following their new DUAD support in Primite Fusion. Primite Fusion does what it says on the label - Fusion Summoning a Dragon using material from the field, GY, or banishment, as long as you include a Normal Monster. The best option is to use this to Fusion Summon Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius, a Level 8 Fusion that negates the activated effects of your opponent's monster, whose Level/Rank/Link Rating is equal to or less than the number of Normal Monsters across your field and GY. By running the 6 that we are, that almost guarantees a blanket negate for any monster your opponent will try to summon. Berzelius isn't the only Fusion you can summon with Primite Fusion - you can also access your Magikey Dragon boss as well, Magikey Dragon - Andrabime, which may assist in recovering a Normal Monster that was banished against your will.

Now for the fun part - this particular Magikey build has a ton of super cool combos that you can branch into, depending how strong of an opening you have. You see, Code Igniter is a R4NK monster that will tutor Cyberse Sage on summon. Plus, it has an effect to Ritual Summon, letting you summon that Sage or instead access your Batosbuster in a pinch. If you go the Sage route, Igniter can be Linked away for Cross-Sheep, give you an PA.I.rtners, and you get to trigger both the Draw and summon effects of Sheep, since it will point to both Sage and the Cyberse Desavewurm you'll Fusion Summon. From there, the world becomes your oyster, whether it is Synchro Summoning Ib the World Chalice Justiciar to extend further and eventually give you a free Normal Monster, or whether you elect to just make bigger Link Monsters like Accode Talker @Ignister or Decode Talker Heatsoul. Finally, the inspiration for pulling this deck together was actually The Toil of the Normal, a Normal Trap that debuted as a SUDA TCG-WP that grants beneficial effects based on the number of Normal Monsters with different names in your GY. It really ain't too shabby to negate and spin your opponent's threats, plus in the endgame, it will even replace itself with another copy! Leverage the power of the normal, with the Magikey and Primites!
