this is a video of me showing the main components is swapping a explorer 8.8 into a s10.. then a pic slide show of me doing the swap on my 94 s10 blazer..
Price List....
1: 8.8.. =65$ at local you pull it with 39,000 miles on it
2:universal joint =10$ part # puj-355
3:brake line adapter = 8.75$ edelmann part #258430
this is by far the best upgrade per dollar for s10 guys for under a 100 bucks you get a choice of 3.55 3.73 or 4.11 gears, bigger stronger 8.8 inch ring gear compared to a 7.5 inch , 31 spline axles compared to 26-28 spline s10 axels., and great disk brake set up ... to do any one of these upgrades to your 7.5 would cost more than the whole swap ...
