You know it’s going to be a great day at the zoo when it sounds inside the amazing Polk Penguin Conservation Center, arguably the greatest Penguin exhibit in the world. From there we’ll make short stops at the Free Flight Aviary, the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Centers, and the Asian Forest before taken an extending pause at the 4-acre Great Apes of Harambee to enjoy the antics of their troop of 13 Chimpanzees, and marvel at their majestic silverback Gorillas. The African Grasslands features familiar zoo favorites like Lions, Zebras and Giraffes, with playful Asia-native Snow Monkeys mixed in as well. It’s always a treat to explore the Arctic Ring of Life, one of best Polar Bear complexes in the world. Finally, we’ll wrap up today’s adventure in the American Grasslands, with Wolves, Bison and Wolverines! Three animals that aren’t always the easiest to find up and active.
