Africa: The World's Most Overlooked Reservoir of Human Potential
Twenty-five per cent of Indians, or 310 million, are under 15, despite having more people than black Africa; sub-Saharan Africa has 520 million under-15-year-olds. China, like India, has more people than black Africa, too. Yet, only 16% of its population, or 220 million people, are under 15 years old. Black Africa has more young people than Europe and North America combined. Yet, most of them are unskilled, underqualified, underemployed, or jobless.
In this video, I explore the relentless cycle of poverty, shortsighted leadership, and the untapped promise of black Africa's youth, searching for answers to the region's persistent underdevelopment.
