On March 17, 2022, around 9 PM, Deepak and Aparna were traveling from Dhenkanal to Bhubaneswar in a car. Near Radhadamodarpur under Khuntuni Police Station, Aparna reportedly got out of the car to relieve herself, and Deepak claimed she was hit by a truck. He alleged that due to the ambulance's delay, he took her to a private hospital in Cuttack in his own car. Doctors declared Aparna dead during treatment, and a case was registered at Khuntuni Police Station. However, during the police investigation, no trace of any truck was found. The police eventually closed the case, classifying it as an accidental death. Now, with Deepak's recent involvement in another murder, the circumstances surrounding Aparna's death are under intense scrutiny once again.
