In October 2020, we traveled from Disney World back to Oklahoma City in 4 nights. Stopping to see some waterfalls, the beach, a fishing camp, and family along the way. As always, we were sad to leave our magical home away from home, but the journey was pretty fun.
Our first stop was Falling Waters State Park. It was a small campground, but had some beautiful scenery.
Next we stopped at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Florida. Wow, just wow. This was definitely moved to the top of our favorite camp spots. The campgrounds were beautiful with a ton of amenities. And the beach was absolutely gorgeous!
After that we booked it over to Louisiana and hit up Poche's Fish-N-Camp. This was such a fun way to camp and we wish we had come prepared a little more. They do have fishing equipment to purchase, but we passed since we were only staying one night.
The next day was possibly the longest day of our lives. Ha! No idea why, but for some reason this leg from Lousiana to Hugo, Oklahoma seemed like it took forever. It wasn't a very scenic drive and I think we were all just ready to be back by this point.
