Thursday, November 29, 2018 our fam bam headed to Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fl. We got there bright and early...about 45 minutes before the park opened. At about 8:30, the gates opened and we were let into the park and held at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset Blvd. This is technically how they "rope drop" at this time. After hanging out with the crowd for a bit, we were all allowed to proceed on to the new Toy Story Land!
We immediately got into line for Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster. It's a super fun, family friendly ride. While we were in line we play with the Disney Play app. It has several games to help you kill time. Praise! After Slinky Dog, we hopped on over to the Alien Swirling Saucers line. One of the sides was closed, so this line took a bit longer than anticipated. It was all good though. Elder B and Little B were ride partners, and mom and dad were ride partners. Talk about a fun giggling time! When we were done here, we used our fast pass for Toy Story Mania, but failed to get pics or video. So sorry. By this time, we were hungry! We mobile ordered some sandwiches, soup, and totchos from Andy's Lunchbox. If you haven't mobile ordered, DO IT!! It saves so much time and is extremely convenient.
We finally finished up Toy Story Land and headed out to the rest of the park. First stop was the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away and the March of the First Order. We just stumbled upon it as we were headed to the Star Wars Launch Bay to see the Cantina and catch up with any Jawas that were hanging around. None to be found! But the girls had themselves some blue milk.
After the Launch Bay, we took a stroll down Sunset Blvd. and looked at some super cute Christmas decor. They had all kinds of vintage globes, figurines, and ornaments. Then it was on to the Tower of Terror!! This ride will always be a family favorite. If you can, ask to ride in the front row. It gets the best view, but also the best chance for a cool ride pic. As soon as we were done there, we ran over to use our next Fast Pass at Rock 'N' Roller coaster. Lots of fun heading to the concert with Aerosmith!
Our bodies needed a break and our tummies needed a snack, so that was next on the list of to do's. So we grabbed some ice cream and Mickey Pretzels and headed across the park to Frozen Ever After for our next Fast Pass. We had scheduled it specifically at this time to see one of the historians that we had found on Instagram. He was hilarious and it was a great show, as always.
By this time, the sun was starting to set and all of the Christmas lights were coming on! What a fabulous job they had done!!! It was beautiful. Sunset Season's Greetings which was displayed on the outer facade of Tower of Terror was absolutely amazing! You could basically stand anywhere along the street and have a great view, but if you got up close, you could get in the "snope" and see the amazing laser light show as well.
And that was the end of our day! We decided not to stay and watch Jingle Bell Jingle Bam this time. We were all tired and wanted to beat the crowds to the busses.
See ya real soon!
