“I Got You, Star” is Velvet Ember’s unexpected, charming detour into duet territory — a warm, vintage-feeling track inspired by classic Sonny & Cher call-and-response ballads. It started as a joke during early rehearsals, a quick harmony test between the leads… until everyone realized it was actually one of the most heartfelt things they’d ever recorded.

This version comes from a lost studio demo, found on a dusty cassette tucked between stage binders and half-finished choreography notes. The analog wobble, gentle tape hiss, and soft color fade give it that unmistakable found-footage feel — like overhearing two voices discovering how perfectly they fit together.

In-universe, this is the moment Velvet Ember stopped being just a concept and started becoming a family.
A little retro.
A little playful.
And entirely genuine.

A love song, yes — but also a promise:
