Comparing The Differences of a Berkeley 12JG vs Dominator 12S Jet Drive, Pump Comparison

Описание: Recently after refurbishing and rebuilding my Berkeley 12JG Jet Drive, I was removing the existing Dominator 12S from my boat to swap in the fresh Berkeley unit. While I had the two pumps out of the boat I took the opportunity to film a quick video outlining the differences that I am aware of between these two pumps.

In short the Dominator pump is a newer, updated version of the Berkeley pump. A lot of the parts are interchangeable between the two pumps. Dimensionally they are nearly the same, with the exception of the bowl diameter on the Dominator unit, which is larger than the Berkeley. In regards to my Dominator pump, someone at some point in its life has turned down the OD of the bowl to match the diameter of the Berkeley pump, allowing it to be fully interchangeable with the transom cover.
