Your pull-up strength is the key to training and eventually unlocking the front lever. This is discussed, but I was confused why so many calisthenics athletes say to train using the tucked variations. These do not stimulate the hypertrophy necessary to grow your lats for front lever. Use those variations to benchmark where you're at, but I think you should spend 90 %+ of your time working on your pull-up progression.
