Our Moalboal adventure officially begins with a stop at Basdako Beach. The sun was shining, the skies were clear, and the vibes were perfect — but we weren’t fully prepared. Without our beach gear, and with it being a busy Sunday crowd, we couldn’t fully enjoy the water this time. Still, it gave us a taste of what was to come.

Determined to get the full experience, we went back to Basdako Beach a few days later, this time on a weekday morning around 8 AM. The scene couldn’t have been more different: cool weather, overcast skies, and a refreshing breeze. With fewer people around, it was a much more relaxing experience, and we got to enjoy the peace and calm side of Moalboal’s famous shoreline.

A few days later, we hit the road again — this time to explore Lambug Beach. Known as another gem near Moalboal, Lambug gave us a fresh beach experience. The sand was beautifully white, the water inviting, and though there were some rocky parts from corals and dead corals washed ashore, it didn’t stop us one bit. This time we came prepared with our water shoes, so it was all part of the adventure.

The contrast between Basdako and Lambug made this trip even more special. From the lively Sunday crowd to the quiet weekday vibes, and then discovering a whole new stretch of coastline, it reminded us why Cebu is such a favorite for travelers. Every beach has its own character, and Moalboal is packed with variety for anyone who loves the sea.
