Описание: For a circular economy to work, both pre‑consumer and post‑consumer scrap are essential. This video shows how both types of scrap interact to close material loops and reduce the carbon footprint of aluminium. We explain the difference between clean, production‑based process scrap, which can be recycled very efficiently – such as at HAI, where pre‑consumer scrap from extrusion is directly remelted in the in‑house foundry – and end‑of‑life scrap, which is more challenging to process due to contamination or mixed materials. The video highlights that only the combination of both scrap streams ensures a sustainable aluminium industry.
