Why is it doubly beneficial for our customers to switch to low‑carbon billets when aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions?
In this video, we show that the carbon footprint of an aluminium profile can only be calculated correctly if the yield – around 1.3 tonnes of billet per tonne of profile – is taken into account. This means that CO₂ savings in billets have a 1.3‑fold effect. Using a calculation example, we demonstrate how low‑carbon billets achieve maximum impact in emission reduction.
