Manu initially wanted to become a teacher but decided to follow his passion for travel and study tourism. The programme is a collaboration between BUas and Wageningen University, offering a scientific degree with hands-on experience. The first two years are spent at BUas, immersing students in the tourism environment, while the final year takes place at Wageningen University with a more academic focus.

Manu explains that he chose this study programme because it combines social, environmental, and economic aspects, making it more sustainable. The education is also small-scale, with only 30 students in a class, providing a better student-lecturer ratio. Manu appreciates the accessibility of lecturers from both BUas and Wageningen University, as they provide ample feedback and take the time to explain concepts, ensuring students don't feel left behind.

Regarding future plans, Manu is currently doing his minor and is considering pursuing a master's degree in organic farming systems. However, before that, he intends to follow his passion for travel. Ultimately, he envisions combining tourism with organic farming through freelancing. Manu advises prospective students to carefully choose their study path and take time to explore their interests before committing. He highly recommends BUas because of its unique location, such as the old monastery where the video is filmed.
