Mexico in 2021 is thriving and there are tons of beaches to choose from when you visit.
Today we are taking a look at the beaches specifically in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
Quintana Roo and the Riviera Maya have some of the highest quality selection of beaches in all of the world.. it is no surprise that so many expats and digital nomads come here to retire or to work remotely!

The beaches we are showing and reviewing include :

1. Playacar

The Playacar area is known for its upmarket residential villas, all-inclusive resorts, and luxury golf club. The clear waters and white sand of its namesake beach draw a mix of locals and visitors for kitesurfing, snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing. Iguanas scamper over the Xaman-Ha ruins, a cluster of crumbling stone buildings used by the Maya until the 16th century.
This was Lukes personal favourite beach!! He likes it so much that he would love to retire there someday.

2. Parque Los Fundadores

Parque Los Fundadores is one of the main attractions along the riviera maya and for a good reason! This beach is BUSY with tourists vibing to the music playing in beach clubs, and there is a direct connection the famous 5th Avenue, where you can shop till you drop and maybe get scammed too (be careful amigos)
The beach is very nice, although too loud and touristy for our taste!
This rated as somewhere in the middle, and it is nice for an occasional cocktail and a dip.

3. Playa Mamitas

This is the spot for you if you enjoy taking those perfect Instagram pictures and laying by the beach with a cold coconut for Facebook to make Susan at the office hate you when you return home.
This beach is picturesque and really clean with crystal clear waters and not too much sargassum to be seen.
We rated this relatively well, and it is certainly a beach worth visiting while you are staying in Playa Del Carmen.

4. Playa Publica

Hear us out.. if you like QUIET beaches.. THIS IS THE ONE for you!
This beach is totally serene and it feels like you have your own private beach!!
It is perfect for anyone that is looking to escape the usual hustle and bustle of Centro and 5th Avenue, while still being really close by.
This beach is also incredibly clean, with amazing swimming conditions for all swimmer levels.
We highly recommend this beach to anyone who is coming to Playa Del Carmen and wants to leave in a relaxed, stress free mood.
This beach was Naomi´s favourite beach! She loves it for all the reasons mentioned above.
