red carpet at Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv. Clinton exchanged warm greetings with virtually the entire Israeli government on a receiving line headed by Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. "To all the people of Israel, it is wonderful for Hillary and for me to be back in Israel and especially to come here in this capacity and in this momentous time," Clinton said . Clinton said Wednesday's peace treaty signing between Israel and Jordan was a historic day for the whole world that he drew inspiration from the Jewish state's struggle to survive.
