Strictly speaking, C.J. Sansom's Shardlake novels are mysteries, and this isn't really a crime story channel - but I figure it is a flexible channel, and the historical setting and thrillerish narrative makes them suitable... Also, I dare say that given the recent broadcast of the second series of Wolf Hall, this is good time to revisit these radio adaptations of Sansom's novels.
(There are six in all, originally broadcast in the daily '15 Minute Drama' slot, each adaptation comprising ten episodes. Naturally the episodes are edited together here, making for satisfyingly lengthy dramas...)
