Описание: "Oh, Magnify the Lord with Me! A classic refrain from Psalm 34, repeated often in old hymns and modern worship. That word, "magnify", is also translated as "exalt" or "glorify". It gets its root from the Hebrew word "gdil", which means to twist together. Picture threads being twisted together into a string, then strings into twine, then twine into rope. Some ropes are large enough to hold massive ships to their docks. Each little thread plays a role in making the rope larger and stronger.
We each have threads within our own lives: hardships, victories, losses, gains, valleys, and mountains. As we seek the Lord and see HIs work in our lives, He turns those threads into ropes. When you share your threads with someone else, our shared ropes get larger and stronger, and thus our faith grows and grows.
The old refrain, "Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together," is an invitation to weave together our stories of God's goodness, mercy, faithfulness, and provision and lift one another up, as we lift up the Lord.
