Proverbs 6:9 warns against the dangers of taking it easy. God does offer us rest, but He also expects us to obey when He calls. We all have reasons we think we're special cases; God wouldn't expect ME to do what He's asking, would HE? But in fact, without our struggles in life, we would probably not try at all! There is no excuse that will justify our resistance to the Holy Spirit! How long will we sleep? Awake!
