Robowarrior NES part 1

Описание: It has been ages since I've played this one, way back in 2004, yep that long ago, beat it then with 2 deaths. Back when the NES was king, I had bought this game off of one of the endcaps at Toys'r'us, those spots were always for the cheap games, $20 and less, don't remember how much Robowarrior was, but it was worth it. I used to play it frequently back then, but not as much as others in my collection due to the length of the game, no password or save, and the difficulty of managing health, bombs and items ever constant, and on top of that having to find chalices in some stages otherwise the stage will continue to loop, as well as a key to open the door at the end. Still, it is a really good game despite the higher heavy management of so much stuff for an action game. Love the graphics, the music is catchy and fun, and the bosses are awesome, though in first few stages don't have a boss, later they show up at the end of each stage and put up quite the fight if you aren't prepared with some awesome items to destroy them easier.

So, given how long it has been since I played this one and the difficulty of getting back into how to play, I died a bunch of times, is okay, relearning here. Once I got the hang of things again, starting at around 8:38, I made it to the end of the first stage with chalice in hand and found the key after much bombing of the trees. got through the next couple stages without too much difficulty, other than a death due to getting self trapped in a corner with no way out in stage 2-1, but was good after that, even got through the darkness of stage 2-2 with no problems, and stopping at the start of stage 3-1 for a break, made a savestate to return back to exactly where I left off so will maybe continue this one another time.

I did do some maps of all of the room of idols those many years ago, was considering using them but, I dunno, will have to think about that, most of the time when playing games, even when I have maps I try to do as much as I can without them.
