This short video discusses several reasons why many other disorders are so often seen as coexisting with ADHD. Over 80% or more of clinic referred children and adults seem to have a second disorder and over 50% may have a third disorder. Why does having ADHD predispose one to a high likelihood of having a second or even third disorder? It's complicated but this video tries to explain the role of shared genetics, shared environments, and the possibility that one disorder (ADHD) predisposes one to experiences that may then lead to developing the second disorder.
