🚥 The episode starts with nostalgic clips of Max and Lando karting together as kids, showing how their friendship has evolved over the years. But DTS quickly shifts to talking about Max’s “F** you” mentality*—a trait that supposedly separates him from Lando.
📞 Zak Brown enters the scene, saying no one wants to see Red Bull win every race (fair point), but also believing that McLaren has a real shot at competing with them. We hear Lando and Max chatting in a car about how hard it is to win in F1—let alone keep a seat.
🏎️ Cue the montage—McLaren repeatedly loses to Red Bull at the start of the season. Lando admits that his biggest weakness is caring too much about what people think, and DTS tries to paint him as a party boy (which feels exaggerated because, let’s be real, most F1 drivers party).
🎾 Max and Lando play paddle tennis in a scene that DTS makes look like it happened right before the Miami GP (but honestly, who knows).
🍌 Zak Brown makes a joke about needing Max to slip on a banana peel for McLaren to win… and seconds later, Max almost trips on something. Talk about foreshadowing.
🚥 Miami GP time! Lando has a terrible start after nearly getting wiped out by Pérez into Turn 1, but a perfectly timed Safety Car (thanks to a crash) gives him the lead. Christian Horner calls McLaren “lucky bastards”—and to be fair, he’s not wrong. Lando dominates and wins the race, but DTS makes it look like Max was right behind him the whole time… when in reality, Lando won by over 10 seconds.
📞 Sweet moment alert—Lando calls his mum after the race, saying “it finally paid off”. These are the moments that DTS actually does well.
😡 Red Bull throws shade—Zak Brown says everyone congratulated him except Red Bull. Meanwhile, Horner admits he didn’t want to see Zak smiling.
🇮🇹 Imola & Spain—Max wins, but Lando finishes second in both, looking more frustrated than ever. For the first time, we see Lando genuinely annoyed at not winning.
🇦🇹 Austrian GP—Here’s where things get spicy. Lando and Max fight hard, but Max’s aggressive defending leads to contact, punctures, and Lando’s retirement. McLaren and Red Bull both blame each other, and Lando straight-up says that if Max doesn’t admit fault, he’s lost a lot of respect for him. (Spoiler: Max doesn’t.)
🎤 Max’s response? He does not care. At all. No apology. Nothing.
🏁 Zandvoort GP—DTS sets this up like another intense battle, but credit where it’s due—they actually showed how the race really went down. Lando dominated, and for once, they didn’t twist the narrative.
Final Thoughts
✅ Better than Episode 1—at least I didn’t fall asleep this time.
❌ Overdramatic as usual—Miami was not that close.
🤨 Max vs. Lando rivalry feels exaggerated—yes, Austria was heated, but DTS skips over the fact that they moved on later in the season.
