Ingredients and Directions for Sloppy Joe Pizza Calzone:
General Information:

Ingredients (US-Units):
Flour: 2 pounds
Lukewarm water: 16 fl. oz.
Dry yeast: 0,25 oz.
Olive oil: 4 table spoons
Salt: 1 tea spoon
Sugar: 0,5 tea spoons
Ground beef: 1.1 pounds
Sunflower oil: 2 TBSP
Onion: 1
Bell pepper: 1
Wine vinegar: 1 shot
Worchester Sauce: 1 shot
Medium hot mustard: 2 TBSP
Water: 2.5 fl. oz.
Ketchup: 8.5. fl. oz.
Salt: 0,5 TBSP
Pepper: 0,5 TBSP
Grated gouda: 0,5 pounds
Ingredients (Rest of the World – Units):
Flour: 950 g
Lukewarm water: 500 ml
Dry yeast: 7 g
Olive oil: 4 table spoons
Salt: 1 tea spoon
Sugar: 0,5 tea spoons
Ground beef: 500 g
Sunflower oil: 2 TBSP
Onion: 1
Bell pepper: 1
Wine vinegar: 1 shot
Worchester Sauce: 1 shot
Medium hot mustard: 2 TBSP
Water: 75 ml
Ketchup: 250 ml
Salt: 0,5 TBSP
Pepper: 0,5 TBSP
Grated gouda: 200 g
Preparation of food:
Pizza dough
1. Put the flour and salt into one big bowl
2. Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water
3. Introduce the yeast-mix and the olive oil to the flour and squidge it into a batch of dough
4. Cover the dough and store it in a warm space until it doubles in size
Sloppy Joe Sauce
1. Cut onions and paprika into small pieces
2. Cook the ground beef in sunflower oil until it is falling apart into small globs
3. Admix the onions and lightly braise them
4. Mix in bell pepper squares
5. Mix in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, vinegar and water and let it simmer until the liquids have reduced and it comes into being a creamy mass that isn’t dry nor soupy.
6. Taste test it with a little salt and pepper and let it cool down
Sloppy Joe Calzone
1. Take a hand full of dough and form it into a ball. Then go over it with the rolling pin to spread it thin
2. Cover one half with the sloppy joe sauce and cover it with cheese
3. Use a little water to cover the edges of the dough and then fold the empty half of the dough over the other so it covers the edges
4. Squeeze the edges together and roll them so nothing will get out. Now you can either put it on a Pizza stone at around 250-300 degrees C° and let it bake for around 5 to 10 minutes or put it into your regular oven at a lower temperature
