Welcome to the Northwest Cottages! Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity's first affordable, Net-Zero Cottage Community. Situated in a desirable location on Bend's Westside, this walkable community has eleven 2 and 3-bedroom homes.
In building net zero, affordable homes, Habitat is reducing the cost of living expenses, improving overall health, and ensuring families have every opportunity to thrive and grow. The homes were purchased by qualified households who completed Habitat’s Homeownership Program, including volunteer “sweat equity,” monthly financial education, and homeownership preparedness classes. Eligible homeowners at this development earn between 40-100% of the Area Median Income.
These homes are deed-restricted to be permanently affordable, establishing an enduring legacy of affordable rental and homeownership opportunities in Bend for generations to come. The project was completed in 2021.
