I recently sat down with Dave Feldman, computer engineer turned cholesterol guru to talk about mean mass hyper responders, the lipid energy model, and the exciting research that he and his team are conducting to discover if sustained high levels of LDL-C, within the context of a ketogenic diet with all other biomarkers excellent, is causing increased plaque accumulation in the heart arteries. I think this is a topic everyone on a ketogenic diet would like to know, and his crowd funded research is getting to the bottom of it.
