Strengthening Rural Community Colleges - Association of Community College Trustees Webinar

Описание: Please join us to learn about the next phase in the Association of Community College Trustees' (ACCT) Strengthening Rural Community Colleges initiative! During this webinar, ACCT Senior Vice President Jee Hang Lee and Senior Program Manager Rachel Rush-Marlowe will discuss the details of the upcoming project and how to get involved.

The project will encompass three components:

Convening rural community college leaders to establish a new nationwide network;

Providing technical support, assistance, and information to rural colleges that seek funding; and

Providing other information relevant to rural ACCT member community colleges via a dedicated website, which will also be made available to higher education stakeholders and state and federal policymakers.

As part of this work, we seek to engage a minimum of 55 colleges, including 10 from each of ACCT’s geographic regions, and at least five tribal colleges, to ensure broad geographic and cultural representation of rural community colleges.

ACCT will work with these colleges as well as partners and affiliates to ensure that rural interests are understood at the federal level and met to the greatest extent possible.

Colleges participating in the initiative will have an opportunity to drive the conversations and agenda and create goals and programming that are best suited to the group’s interests.
