Thai Basil Beef Recipe
Makes 4 Servings
Macros per serving (w/o Added Carb)
255 Calories, 12g Fat, 11g Carbs, 26g Protein
Ingredients:
1 Large Onion - Sliced
1 Red Pepper - Sliced
5 Cloves Garlic - Sliced
1lb Extra Lean Ground Beef
1 Cup Thai Basil (or Sweet Basil)
Sauce
2 Tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Sriracha (or Chilli Paste)
1 Tbsp Fish Sauce
1 Tbsp Coconut Sugar (or Brown Sugar)
1. Combine all of your suace ingredients and mix until sugar is dissolved.
2. Heat a Wok or large Non Stick Pan over medium high heat. Spray with cooking spray and add in 1lb gorund beef. Cook until all the liquid has cooked out of the bottom of the pan.
3. Add in Garlic, Onion and Pepper. Cook until fully cooked through, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly to ensure garlic doesnt burn.
4. Add in Basil and cook until wilted, 30 seconds or so.
5. Top with sauce and cook for another minute until the suace starts to get sticky.
6. Serve on its own or with noodles, rice or vegetables.
