She immediately ran to Google to find trisomy 18 pictures, success stories, trisomy 18 life expectancy, and support from other mom's with related genetic disorders like Trisomy 13 and Trisomy 21.

In the end, she and her husband decided to educate themselves as much as possible, to get support from other parents, and to weigh every step in the care and delivery of their child with as much love as possible.

Kristin's journey from mom of two and successful engineer to fighter, mom of three, and now nurse, is harrowing to say the least.
