Crossing the great Atal Tunnel while moving from Sissu to Manali

We had an exciting drive from Chandrataal to Sissu in the morning. The day started with dense cloud along with constant drizzling at an altitude of 14000 ft. We saw fresh snows on top of the mountains near Kunzum Pass, but the foggy atmosphere blocked us from getting a clear view of Bara Shigri glacier after Batal. Surprisingly after Chhatru, weather started improving and we got clear sky near Pagal Nala. Ultimately we enjoyed the beauty of Sissu under bright sun.
Now to reach Manali after having lunch at Sissu. Also this was our first experience of traveling through the mighty Atal Tunnel that bypasses the Rohtang Pass. But there was more surprise left. Once we crossed the tunnel and came out from the South portal, we were caught by heavy downpour.
