The Richters (Mónica & PoL) is a Berlin-based photography and filmmaking duo documenting weddings across Europe and internationally. For over 20 years, they have worked with a documentary approach, capturing real moments, human connection, and emotional truth. Their style is alternative and avant‑garde, blending digital and analogue formats (35 mm, medium format, Polaroid, Super 8, VHS) to create images with texture and depth. Every project is built from scratch — no templates, no formulas — and they take on only 10–12 weddings per year to give each story full attention. Their work spans art and culture, with exhibitions, publications, festivals, and teaching. Based in Berlin, they work regularly across Spain, the UK, Italy, and France, with occasional projects in the United States and New York. They collaborate with creative couples who value authenticity and art, producing photographs and films that feel personal, honest, and lasting.
