Edgeworth's newest rival, Jack Gambit, is a mysterious and eccentric prosecutor who the Chief of Justice seems to appoint for every case that Edgeworth stumbles upon.

Prosecutor Gambit seems to be extremely fond of gambling games, so much so that it seeps into his line of work. Jack gets a kick out of every surprise he comes across, and sees it as a chance to craft a new and more twisted strategy. Don't be surprised if you find yourself completely cornered, only to find that it was all a bluff in the first place.

While goofy as can be, don't let your guard down against this jokester. Behind all of the silly and nonsensical jokes hides a calculating opponent that has learned over the years just how far he can push things... Or he might just be nuts and lucky. You never know...

This theme is quite different from what you would expect for a rival! I'm picturing all kinds of scenes where this plays. Not only Gambit busting into the scene in the most eccentric manner, but also him catching Edgeworth completely off-guard and reveling in his confusion. Of course, this would also play ironically when Edgeworth beats Prosecutor Gambit to his game, and he admits defeat in a half-hearted and frustrated way à-la Sebastian.
