Blossom part 2

Описание: Blossom is still here I've moved on to overplating the rear swims and the lower counter this boat has unfortunately gone rusty from the in side out . If you look closely you will see a spot of filler on the counter side (above the waterline) this was not me, I think someone was covering up an old outlet ! as its behind the new plate work its not going to be a problem.

Now overplating is a way of giving an old boat a new lease of life and if done properly will last for years to come. I've overplated between 100 and 120 boats in my time and never had one sink or an issue with my work, all have passed with an accredited examiner.
The armchair welders out there may say, why not just cut the old steel out and replace it with new? Well, that is not an economical option for most owners or practical.
I'm not going to get into a debate over this in the comments or answer questions, because most armchair critics are quite right when a boat is overplated badly and believe me I've seen a lot In my time!! I've had to remove someone's idea of overplating a 60 foot boat and do it properly. Remember, this is an affordable way, even though it's not particularly cheap to keep old boats going, recycling if you will, doing a bit for the environment!
