The day has finally come to put the first piece of wood in the boat!
After six months in the boatyard, learning the trade and starting a new job filming and working with wooden boats, it was time to stop preparing… and start rebuilding.

It'd been more than 15 years since I did any woodworking, and I'd barely touched a tool in that time, except for a hammer when hanging a painting in my old apartment.

Will I be able to make the transition from screen bound animator and artist to woodworker and boatbuilder..?
