Frozen diced, sliced or minced onions and green onions will make daily meal prep faster a reducing time from cutting onions each time you need it, and it will prevent tears.
You can prepare your meals quickly and easily with frozen ones. Frozen ones are so handy that you can use it whenever you need it.
Slicing can be done easily in a food processor or simply using a cutting board.
1. Green onions must be stored in the refrigerator:
• Wash and slice some green onions and store in a container and keep it in the refrigerator. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent onion smells in the refrigerator.
• Wash and wrap it in paper towels and keep in an airtight Ziploc bag in the refrigerator.
• Wash and slice green some onions and store in an airtight Ziploc bag and make it flat to a thin layer, then freeze in the freezer. (Do not slice or cut it too small, it can cause it to get too soft or too soggy after you cook)
• All the remaining slices and pieces can be stored in an airtight Ziploc bag and freeze and used for making soup bases.
2. Onions are best stored in a cool, dry, dark, and well-ventilated place in a basket. Where they don't absorb too much moisture or exposed to heat or humidity.
• Wash and slice some white or brown onions and store in a container and keep it in the refrigerator. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent onion smells in the refrigerator.
• Wash and slice and/or dice white or brown onions and store in an airtight Ziploc bag and make it flat to a thin layer, then freeze in the freezer. (Do not slice or cut it too small, it can cause it to be too soft or too soggy after you cook).
Red onions:
Wash and slice thinly and soak in the ice water for 10-20 minutes, drain well and store in the container and keep it in the refrigerator.
Wash and slice onions and store in an airtight Ziploc bag and make it flat to a thin layer, then freeze in the freezer.(Do not cut it too thin for frozen onions, it can cause it to be too soft or too soggy)
