Описание: I Ran My First EVER Ultramarathon! 53km In The Lake District

On September 6th, 2025, I lined up at the start of the Maverick Osprey Lakes Ultra – my first ever ultramarathon. 52km of rugged trails, nearly 2,900 meters of elevation gain, and some of the most breathtaking (and leg-breaking) terrain the Lake District has to offer.

This was more than just a race – it was a battle against the fells, the weather, and my own limits.

⛰️ Route Highlights:
Starting in Grasmere, the course takes you through iconic Lakeland terrain:

Easedale Tarn & Stickle Tarn

The dramatic Langdale Pikes including Pavey Ark & Harrison Stickle

Through Great Langdale, past Loughrigg Tarn, and up to the Fairfield Horseshoe

Over technical ascents and descents, with sweeping views and brutal climbs

Elevation Gain: ~2,858m
Wainwrights bagged: Loughrigg Fell, Red Screes, Little Hart Crag, Dove Crag, Hart Crag, Fairfield, Great Rigg & Stone Arthur.
