Istanbul. A city to home more than 15 million people. Istanbul is chaotic, loud and crowded. Yet it is one of my favourite cities I've visited so far. I spent 6 days exploring the city's popular tourists attractions and soaking in some of the local Turkish culture.

In this Istanbul travel guide, I share three different itineraries for anyone wanting to visit Istanbul. The three Istanbul travel itineraries are for 2, 5 and 7-day trips to the transcontinental city. In this Istanbul travel guide, I share the best places for food and drink, the must-see tourist sites in Istanbul along with a few hidden gems. I also share a few travel tips I learned from my time in Istanbul including the best methods of transport in Istanbul and the best area to visit on the Asia (Anatolian) side of Istanbul.

Before travelling to Istanbul I watched many travel guide videos and read many blog posts on the city. They were all great and had a lot of information. However, I found the majority of them were created by locals... which means they know the city better than anyone! However, most of them were mentioning very specific streets or names of places that people wouldn't have any clue about if they haven't visited Istanbul before.

Therefore, this Istanbul travel guide video looks to break down a trip to Istanbul in the most simple way to help first-time travellers to the city.
