In this video, let's drive on Ericeira coastline from Foz do Lisandro to Ribeira d'Ilhas, entering a bit downtown. A traditional fishing village, Ericeira has developed enormously during the 20th century due to the growing interest in it as a summer resort. However, it has maintained its original characteristics and its own individual atmosphere. Located just 50 km from Lisbon, Ericeira is one of the few places on the planet designated as a World Surfing Reserve by the Save The Waves Coalition. Here surfers can find outstanding waves all year long. One stage of the World Surfing Championship is held every year in Ericeira on Ribeira d`Ilhas Beach.
