A First Look at Rogue Genesia

Overall, I think that the game is extremely well polished and is a great purchase if you like high customizability and enjoy the game loop of games like nova drift, vampire survivors or apocalypse party.

It has quality graphics and good pixel animations, the sound design is amazing and there are many considerations for user experience, like intuitive controls and helpful tooltips. I like the tags associated with each upgrade, the consistent theme and the overall progression of the game. To improve the game, I would increase the amount of feedback when the player gets hit: adding sound, screen shake or particle effects if the player gets damaged. Additional sound and feedback for things like achievements and quest completion status would also be appreciated.

In terms of quality alone I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new roguelike game to play through.
